In 2019, lender bank was reviewing credit facilities to a hotel group company. The bank engaged PwC to assess the reasonability and viability of the business financial model and cash projections of the group. PwC engaged PIE, as a company specialized in hospitality, to support it particularly by providing the PwC team with the review of the Hotel sector in Uganda. Having conducted the requisite review of the hotel industry in Uganda, and an evaluation of the business cash-flows PIE a delivered to PwC a report with its opinion on the business’s ability to generate sufficient cash-flows to service the debt.
The Private Sector Foundation of Uganda (PSFU) engaged PIE’s Principal Consultant, as Technical Advisor, for the development of the Uganda Hotel and Tourism Training Institute (UHTTI), in 2018 and 2019. The assignment entailed advising the PSFU on strategies to ensure the development of UHTTI into a Centre of Excellence.

Lead Consultant in share sale transaction, entailing valuation of shares in ALICO Kenya Limited on behalf of the Trans National Group, leading negotiations, on the sale of the group shares to CFCLife, entailing protection of the group interest with respect to working programme and time limit, employee isues, trade marks, existing and potential tax liabilities. Also entailed ensureing compliance with all statutory requirements.
