Advanced Butchers
Candidates seeking employment as Advanced Butchers must be able to take responsibility for a butchery or function in a meat business. They must possess dexterous knife skills attesting to sound knowledge of the craft and processing of all types of meats.
Duties:
- • De-bone, trim carcases, remove primal cuts from carcase cuts correctly.
- • Prepare meat cuts according to the meat and industry specifications.
- • Use correct containers to store sliced, chopped, and jointed cuts of meat with the correct vacuum and gas settings.
- • Slaughter animals and separate edible portions from offal, surplus fat, rind, and other ‘waste’ materials.
- • Set-up of machines and maintain the flow of product through the machine to meet production speeds, set seal times and gas settings to match tray sizes and product being produced.
- • Ensure metal detection of product, weighing, packing, and labelling of food items.
Qualifications Required
Applicants are expected to have:
- • Equivalent of UK Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision
- • Equivalent of UK Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food
- • Equivalent of UK Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Food Supply Chain Business
- • Proficiency in knife and machinery work which includes the use of saws, cutting equipment, vacuum packing equipment etc.
£25600 annual salary for a 39-hour week
Flights and visa fees paid
Applicants will also be subjected to an English proficiency test.
Health & Safety Manager
We wish to recruit a Health & Safety Manager, for a Premium Meat Processor and supplier of choice organization in the United Kingdom
Role Summary:
- • Responsible for all aspects of Health and safety on site for a meat processing company
- • Developing and implementing health and safety objectives and improvement plans in conjunction with site operations management and divisional health and safety manager.
- • Support site supervisors with the investigation of health and safety incidents/ accidents at site, where necessary, leading the investigation process and/ or collaborating with senior management on serious incidents.
- • Partnering with relevant stakeholders such as Human resources, Safety and quality, Engineering, and operations departments with regard to health and safety training sessions for employees and management as required.
- • Managing the induction process for new starters across the site
- • Liaising with relevant authorities and bodies such as Health and safety Authority etc. as necessary. Ensuring all employees, contractors third parties and visitors are compliant with health and safety and covid 19 requirements on site
- • Conducting internal audits and ensuring the site is always audit ready.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have Health and Safety Legislation:
- • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of MS office applications; a relevant third level qualification.
- • Manual handling instructor and forklift instructor qualification would be beneficial.
Health Care Workers
Nurses ( JOB REF: RKL 6146 )
The Nurses will be responsible for the care of patients in hospitals and in home care facilities.
Candidates for these posts must Kenya Registered Nurses (KRN). They must also have had a minimum of 2 years formal training in duly registered medical institution plus at least 3 years’ experience in first class medical facilities.
Heavy Truck Drivers
The drivers will be responsible for safe transfer of goods assigned to them.
Candidates for these posts must:
- Be in possession of a valid driving license for Class A to E vehicles.
- Have at least Four years’ accident-free driving experience on heavy trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) exceeding 7500 kg with a heavy trailer or semi-trailer
- Be fluent in English
Head Chefs
Head Chefs (JOB REF: RKL 21111 )
The Head Chefs will be responsible for the overall management of kitchens in first class hotels and restaurants. Head Chefs will particularly be responsible for the delivery of efficient and high-quality cuisine, financial, human resource, and property management in the kitchens.
Sous Chefs
Sous Chefs (JOB REF: RKL 21112 )
The Sous Chefs deputize the Head Chefs in the overall management of kitchens in first class hotels and restaurants. Sous Chefs will particularly support the Head Chefs for efficient and high-quality cuisine, financial, human resource, and property management in the kitchens.
Candidates for these posts must have a minimum of 2 years formal training in an internationally recognized institution such as the international hotel & tourism institute or Kenya Utalii College plus at least 4 years’ experience in first class hotels or restaurants.
Chef de parties
Chef de Parties (JOB REF: RKL 21123 )
The Chef de Parties will supervise kitchen operations in specific kitchens or kitchen sections (gardemanger, saucier, entremetier, etc.). Chef de Parties will particularly be responsible for high culinary standards, good hygiene standards, and proper maintenance and food cost in their respective kitchens or sections.
Candidates for these posts must have a minimum of 2 years formal training in an internationally recognized institution such as the international hotel & tourism institute or Kenya Utalii College plus at least 3 years’ experience in first class hotels or restaurants.
Restaurant Managers
Restaurant Managers (JOB REF: RKL 21121 )
The Restaurant Managers will be responsible for the proper overall management of the various restaurants and food outlets in first class hotels and restaurants. Restaurant Managers will particularly be accountable for efficient and high-class food and beverage service and sales, financial, human resource, and property management in the restaurants, as well as banqueting sections.
Candidates for these posts must have a minimum of 2 years formal training in an internationally recognized institution such as the international hotel & tourism institute or Kenya Utalii College plus at least 3 years’ experience in first class hotels or restaurants.
Front Office Supervisors
Front Office Supervisors (JOB REF: RKL 21131 )
The Front Office Supervisors will be responsible to Front Office Managers or Rooms Division Managers for the proper supervision of all Front Office Operations in first class hotels. Front Office Supervisors will in particular oversee Reservations, Reception, Front Office Accounting, Concierge, Valet services, etc.
Candidates for these posts must have a minimum of 2 years formal training in an internationally recognized institution such as the international hotel & tourism institute or Kenya Utalii College plus at least 3 years’ experience in first class hotels or restaurants.
